Giving back

Partners in mission.

Recycling isn't just the focus of etc. — it's the heart of the business. An extension of that heart shows up in our community partnerships. We've built relationships with the organizations below as we look for ways, both at home and abroad, to empower the lives of others.

Alpha Pregnancy Support

Alpha Pregnancy Support is a pregnancy resource center that exists to empower women, promote families, and offer hope. They provide free, compassionate, nonjudgmental support — including free pregnancy testing, individualized consultations, ongoing pregnancy support, prenatal/childbirth/parenting education, community referrals, fatherhood mentoring, and support groups.

Their Earn While You Learn program lets participants earn points to "purchase" needed items for their pregnancy and children in the baby store.

The Dream Center

The Dream Center's mission is to rebuild hope by restoring the broken foundations of families through structure and key resources, helping them reach a stronger position in life. Many families in the community struggle to meet basic daily needs, so the Dream Center helps with insecurities such as food and clothing.

They also offer Family Life Counseling for individuals and families, including Celebrate Recovery — all with the goal of helping the community learn to Dream Again.

The Parenting PATH

The Parenting PATH

The Parenting PATH is a local non-profit working to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect by strengthening families, enhancing parent/child relationships, and creating safer, more stable communities. They provide 18 different services and programs to over 1,100 families per year across 8 counties in northwest North Carolina, with offices in Winston-Salem, Surry County, and Stokes County.

Their second location, Pinwheels Thrift Store and Family Center, houses clinical staff for services like Trauma-Focused Therapy, Parent Coaching, and Co-Parenting sessions, alongside a thrift store open to the community.
